Ah, Christmas Eve. This used to be my absolute favorite day. My family celebrated a little differently I guess. We used to open our gifts on Christmas Eve after a huge dinner and enjoying time with family. When we were little we all used to have to go outside and watch for "Santa" or the North Star. That is when my parents would bring everything out and tell us Santa had come. Then we got to play with our toys a while and it was off to Midnight Mass. I really, really miss this tradition. Hoping that when the boys get a little older we will be able to enjoy this as well. They are just not ready to sit through a service like that.

We had a nice dinner, the boys got to play with their grandparents so they were thrilled. Exhausted, but thrilled. Been a very busy week for us and they are tuckered already.

Busy, busy day. Noah's speech therapist had phoned yesterday to see if she could come one more time before their therapy was up. So she came this morning, then their OT came this afternoon and then their grandparents arrived. They are wiped out already and the visit is just beginning. Hopefully they will make it through the holidays just fine.

I am really, really going to miss their OT. I loved her coming and the boys adored her! I hope she and I will be able to keep in touch because she is an awesome person!

I took Noah this morning to meet his new teach and classmates. Wow. They were right when they say the parents have a harder time with the adjustment than the kids do. He loved exploring the classroom and didn't want to leave. The teacher bribed him with cookies. I thought I was going to have to carry him out kicking and screaming.

I actually got to spend some one on one time with each of the boys today! I had Noah in the morning while Cameron went with Daddy and then we switched out in the afternoon. Such a wonderful time.

Ordered the boy's birthday cake today. Still can't believe they will be 3!

Ten days left in 2009. Wow. I just can't believe it. And today is the first day of winter. The days will only get longer from here until June.

Got most of the presents wrapped today thankfully. Only a few left to go...woo-hoo! I got some Thomas trains from someone who was selling their used ones today. The boys were in heaven. That is all they played with for the rest of the day. Oh man are they going to be thrilled when Santa comes.

I am finally feeling somewhat better. I can function at least. Oh, and eat again. I am thankful for that! Now time to play catch up and get ready for next week! Did some last minute Christmas shopping and lots of playing with the boys today. It snowed. They woke up and had to watch it from their windows. So stinking cute!

I was sick again today. The boys had to go to their usual play spot while daddy worked and I slept. Man, I hope this goes away soon!
