What a day! We had so much fun. The boys got to go to a trunk or treat this morning. And wouldn't you know my kids picked the toothbrush out for what they wanted immediately. Oh but that changed in the evening.

We actually went to exchange my new cell phone and so they had fun running around Costco with daddy while I did that (which I actually have to go back again since they gave me the wrong charger!). We came home to play and have some dinner then it was time to get ready to go and trick or treat around the neighborhood. This morning they were Batman and Robin, this evenbing they were dragons. It worked out perfectly! The dragon costumes kept them nice and warm so we didn't have to worry with coats or hats since it covered both. Whew!

They both seemed to enjoy giving out candy although Cameron really had a great time with this. He was so funny, by the end of the night he would stand in the door as everyone would walk away and yell "Happy Halloween" to everyone. Then he would ask me where more trick or treaters were. He was too cute!

Busy, busy day around here. Took Cameron to the doctor this morning because he has had a cough for 3 weeks and it hasn't gotten any better. Then off to the gym since he had a clean bill of health. Grabbed some lunch and then it was time for their OT and DT to show up so that pretty much filled the majority of our day. I was wiped out by 3:30 when everyone left and it was just me and the boys. We did try our hand at carving pumpkins but Cameron would have NOTHING to do with the icky seeds. Noah liked using the scrapper but got tired of the whole thing pretty quickly since Cameron wasn't interested. They always surprise me and make me laugh.

Typical day. The boys went to PDO and I cleaned up and stuff as usual. When they came home we played making tents and such until time for dinner. For some reason the boys have decided to be all crazy about the time I am supposed to start dinner. Makes for a LONG time until hubby gets done with work and today he came up to two screaming boys both sitting in chairs at the table because they wouldn't stop fighting. And all I could think was "this is only the beginning." Wow. How many fights will I break up between the two of them over the years? I just pray every day that they love each other and always remember that when it matters most.

Today was not one of our finer days. Cameron ran a fever off and on all day. I tried to keep them on the calm side because when he would get all wound up he would cough more. They were exhausted, I was exhausted. So I am happy to see bedtime in my near future. I did manage to make an awesome chicken in the crock pot today. I am in love with my crock pot! And the boys played so nicely while I made everything to go along with dinner...that doesn't happen every day so I was so very thankful!

Only 65 more days to until 2010. So strange typing that! The boys had PDO, I went to the doctor and then cleaned. Uneventful day other than Cameron running a little fever (100.4) and the boys not wanting to go to bed. I'm feeling icky and just really praying we don't get sick around here.

When I saw this picture he just looked like he was dancing so I had to share this one today. The boys got to go to a Halloween party tonight while we (Mommy and Daddy) got to actually go to dinner! They had fun and of course didn't want to go to sleep tonight. It was nearly 10:00 pm before Noah finally gave in. But they enjoyed it so that was all that mattered!

They are playing more and more together which is truly amazing for me to watch. I love seeing them actually become more aware of each other and that they can actually enjoy playing together.

We went to a Kid's Fair this morning and finished it off with our first corn maze. I had never been to one so it was experience for me and both the boys. They seemed to have fun but were pretty tired by the end of it. A lot of walking between the two activities. I'll know next time to just do the corn maze on a day we haven't done so much walking prior.

I am not crazy about the boy's faces being washed out in today's photo but I rarely get a photo with them so I had to share. Plus I get to show off my new glasses. :)

We actually lit a fire today. It was an overcast day and chilly so it seemed like a good idea. The boys were of course fascinated. They pulled up their little chairs and sat right in front of it. For the most part they did well with it but we will have to keep a close eye on them this year because they are fascinated with trying to touch the screen in front of it.

Cameron dressed up in his dragon costume for a large portion of the day today. He wanted to wear it to bed but it is too big for that to happen. I think they are going to be lucky enough this year to have two different costumes and also have enough different things to go to they will actually get to wear both of them.
Noah decided he wanted to carry three of his stuffed puppies around part of the day and even made sure he brought all three back up to bed with him tonight. So very cute. He would walk around saying "Three puppies" and stuff like that. Then he sat in front of the fire and put Puppy on his lap to let him watch the fire as well. I am so blessed to have two such wonderful and caring little guys already!

We tried peanut butter on celery tonight. Can you tell they like peanut butter? Celery...not so much.

Spent a good part of the day running around town, got hair cuts, played at the park and at home. I went to the Mothers of Multiples meeting tonight and really need to do that more often. Love the fellow multiple moms around here!

293/365

The days are just ticking down. Whenever I type the title each day I am amazed at how high the numbers are already! What a fast year this has been!

The boys went to PDO today and I played catch up on some filing/bills, laundry, etc. Not a very exciting morning. We played all afternoon and had purple potatoes for dinner. This was a first for us. I am loving our Farm Fresh delivery each week and trying new things.

It was an absoultely beautiful Fall day. Kind of wish I had the boys at home to spend time outside playing with them. About 2:00 I had the urge to run and pick them up but resisted. I know how much they are loving being there right now and I think if I would have tried to make them come home early they would have refused.

Noah is talking so much more these days. I am so thankful. Cameron was "reading" Goodnight Moon in his bed tonight after we put them to bed. Makes my heart melt!

292/365

Wow, what a nice day. The boys played amazingly well together most of the day. I was shocked I actually got most of the laundry done and the house vacuumed while they played. Can we say shock. We had fun though pretending we were at the zoo playing with animals and petting them, playing chase, getting some new tractors and then playing crash and burn with them, dinner with daddy and of course having to run out and get a new binky because Noah has finally decided to get his molars and I am not about ready to go through that experience while also trying to give up the binky (how's that for a very long run-on sentence?). I'm crazy but not that crazy. Only one true meltdown so it was good day. And the boys had fun running around wearing their new hats and of course looked too adorable not to take pictures in them.

Things the boys said today that made me crack up: We were driving along and I noticed Noah's head down like he may be asleep so I said, "Noah are you awake?" His response..."No." Then later in the afternoon shortly after Cameron's meltdown (or maybe it was during), I said "Everything for you has been so tragic today." To which Cameron exclaimed in a tearful voice, "I am not tragic!" I had to walk away from the car (I was putting him in his car seat at the time) because I was laughing so hard and he was crying. I didn't want him to see me laughing at what he had said.

291/365

I spent the majority of the last 2 mornings in bed. Yuck. I don't get sick all that often to the point it takes me down like that. But I couldn't do it. I would have stayed in bed longer truth be known but the boys kept coming in and waking me up anyway so I figured what the heck. Plus it was obvious that daddy was having a not so great time running after the two of them. So this afternoon we all went out for lunch and then to find the boys some hats for winter. We all needed out of the house. The boys loved watching the fountain and getting out so it was a good day. Couldn't get them to sleep tonight so learned not to let them nap in the car anymore. That or be ready for them to be up way past their usual bed time. ;)

290/365

Today is out five year anniversary. This is what we had for dinner. Not exactly what I had planned. :( I stayed in bed all morning sick. Yuck. The boys have loved playing with daddy but I was really looking forward to an actual date with my hubby tonight. Sigh. One day next week I guess. Just need to get better so I can get back to taking care of the boys, etc.

I feel yucky. Lucky to have made it through the day thanks to some awesome therapists that come to see the boys each week. Just praying it isn't the flu. Going to bed early.

288/365

Okay, so I forgot until I was headed to bed that I hadn't taken a picture. :) Busy day, boys had PDO, I went to yoga and then to the eye doctor. Can't ever get over how expensive glasses are. Yuck. But I really needed mine updated. Strangely enough my eyes actually got better. I did have to laugh when I told the boys I had gone to the eye doctor Cameron said "Mommy went to see eye doctor, not the mouth doctor." They always find a new way to crack me up each day.

287/365

Today was one of those days. The majority of it was just fine but come 4:00 this afternoon all turned South and bedtime couldn't come fast enough. They were exhausted and hungry and refusing to eat. Oh, not a good combination. Needless to say they were both out by 7:50 this evening. Praying they sleep through the night and get some much needed rest. Back to wanting to remove all clothing but thankful they will at least keep their diapers on! And when I went in there just a little while ago to turn out the light and cover them up I had to go and grab the camera. Oh what precious angels they are!

Busy, busy day. The boys had PDO and I got so many things crossed off my to-do list I was ecstatic!

285/365

Nice day. I had to laugh at the boys and wanting to go to our local drop-in child care place. They asked over and over and over again so what could I say? A few hours of fun for them and a few hours of cleaning and catching up on TV for me. Hmm, we both won I think today!

284/365

What a nice day. Church then lunch and play time both inside and out. Beautiful day to be outside but really wish the bees would disappear for the rest of the year. Noah is so afraid of them after being stung a few weeks ago. Makes going outside very unenjoyable for him because they are everywhere right now! But I will admit that I was happy to spend some one on one time with him this afternoon when he was ready to come in and Cameron wasn't. Don't get to do that very often with them!

283/365

Beautiful weather and we went to the outlets about an hour from here. The boys were wild. This was the first time we attempted a shopping trip and didn't use the stroller. Um, won't be doing that again anytime soon! When I was trying on their coats from last winter Cameron didn't want to take his snow bibs off. He was too funny running around in them for some time. Then when we got home and I tried his new coat on his he wouldn't take it off. He cracks me up sometimes.

282/365

Great day. We went to MOPS and the boys had fun. Lunch and then their OT gal came and we had a fun filled session. She is great at actually engaging the boys in activities and having them be very energetic. Noah has really come out of his shell these last few weeks and it is amazing to see him interact with her and begin to do the same with others. He even laid down on the couch next to her when it was time to kind of start winding down. Such a sweet little guy!

281/365

Second day of staying at PDO until 3:00. This is such a strange feeling for me! I got so much done though while they were at school. Even if they end up not wanting to stay I am thankful to know they can do it! Noah didn't nap but Cameron did. They even called me because I had said they didn't have to nap but he had fallen asleep almost immediately. If he is tired then by all means let him sleep! Just wish they would do the same at home. ;) Of course Noah was so exhausted when he got home he fell asleep on my lap while we were reading. So stinking cute! Truth be told I think Noah enjoyed the one on one time with the teacher and just playing all by himself while everyone else napped. Poor little guy never gets to be totally alone like that. Makes me wonder yet again if I need to give them their own rooms.

280/365

Busy day. Therapy first thing in the morning. Play, play, play. Off to the stores for some errands. Throw fit in store so go home and have Noah continue to throw fit because we left. Sigh, the joys of parenting. But we did have fun. And this evening the boys helped me wash potatoes. They LOVED playing in the water. Will have to have them help me in the kitchen more often. It keeps them busy and water isn't too bad to clean up thankfully.

279/365

Well, their first day of staying at PDO until 3:00 went amazingly well. That is while they were at school. They actually napped there and I am thinking this may not have been such a good thing. It is nearly 10:00 pm now and Noah is still chattering away in his crib. Hmm...I guess they really are ready to drop that nap all together for the most part. So can't believe they are growing up! Wasn't time supposed to freeze for a while or something so I could enjoy them more?

Noah was strangely active at Kindermusik tonight. He has done this off and on the last week and a half. Acting more like Cameron has in the past than he has. It took us both by surprise tonight. It's like he has come out of his shell all of the sudden. Strange feeling for me as it has changed our dynamics once again around here. But I'll save that post for my regular blog...will take way too long here. ;)

278/365

The boys have really become camera shy these days. Any time I pull out the camera Noah goes running most of the time. They were so cute this afternoon rocking out together and I so desperately wanted to capture it on film.

This evening at dinner Mike asked Cameron if he wanted to get cleaned up. Cameron oh so matter of factly responded, "No, I want to stay dirty." It was just so funny I couldn't keep from laughing. The things he is saying these days are just making me crack up. He is our little chatter box!

277/365

The bain of my existence at the moment. These things are EVERYWHERE. I am actually looking forward to it getting cold just to get rid of them. They are bad this year and ever since Noah got his hand stung a few weeks ago he no longer wants to go outside. Which is REALLY hard when that is all the other wants to do. Sigh.

Saturday, October 3, 2009

276/365

Noah and his love of trains. I think he would play trains and read books the entire day if you let him. And right now he is REALLY into Thomas. Wants to watch it on TV and read the books all the time as well as play with the train. He wasn't so much into Thomas until here these last few weeks, any train would do before. Now I see many, many Thomas the Tank things coming into our home soon. Hmm.

275/365

Cameron and his planes. Loves them. And he decided he wanted to be like one of his classmates tonight and pottied all by himself on the potty! Wow. They are growing up way too fast.

274/365

I made apple butter yesterday and the boys really seemed to enjoy it as you can tell by Noah's face this morning. I think he had more fun kind of licking it off the toast than he did eating the toast. A fun experience to say the least!

We found out today the boys can stay until 3:00 at their PDO program. So off we went today to pick out a pillow and blanket. Wouldn't you know they picked out Thomas. Surprise, surprise!
