Busy, fun day.

272/365

Another nice day around here. The boys went to PDO this morning and I got some much needed cleaning up around here. I was also able to finally get all my photos downloaded and have caught up the good old 365 blog. :)

We had one busy, busy day. The boys had PDO this morning and then shortly after we got home Cameron started OT. Luckily it is with the same therapist that Noah has. Then of course we had Kindermusik tonight so they were wired by the time we made it home and ate dinner. They get wired when they get too tired and it was showing very much this evening by the time it was bed time. But all went well. Just trying to get myself to bed at a decent hour now.

271/365

We had a good day today. The boys playd together a lot. I am loving this new part of their age. Something other than fighting between the two and always feeling like a referee! It is amazing.

We had one of those "I want to stop time" moments today. We were all in the kitchen and Cameron was upset because Noah was trying to play monster with him and he didn't want to play. I picked Cameron up and was telling him it was okay and Noah was just trying to play when Noah walked over and started patting Cameron on the back and telling him "it's okay" over and over. I love when they do this. But, it got even better. Cameron went over and gave Noah a hug and Noah hugged him back. They did this over and over again for about 5-6 hugs and even gave each other a kiss. It was the sweetest moment we have had in a while. I wanted to jump up and grab my camera but instead decided I would just settled with soaking in every second of it I could. Just one of those moments that I wish I could bottle.

Went to church this morning and then decided to go apple picking this afternoon. Oh my, there was a festival going on so the place was crazy. It was fun though and the boys picked lots of apples and even got some pumpkins. I see lots and pumpkins in our future this year. They are loving them. Can't wait to carve one and see what they do. I did make a yummy apple pie with some of the apples but now must get busy making applesauce or something to use up the rest. May be my first adventure in canning!

Batman! We got our Halloween costumes today. The boys picked them out all on their own. Cameron wanted to be Batman so we got it. Noah said he didn't want anything. Of course we go home and Cameron is playing in his so Noah says he wants Robin. How cute is that? They even picked out different costumes but ones that still go together. Ah, loving it. I think Cameron spent most of his day in the Batman costume. They are both really getting into the dress up thing lately so I am glad it is Halloween. Do you know how tough it is to find dress up things for boys? So most of our day was spent shopping for Halloween stuff and pulling out the decorations. It was fun. The boys seemed to enjoy it. So different that this time last year. My how the time flies!

Howdy partner. There's a new sheriff in town.

We had a slight change of plans this morning. We got all loaded up and started heading to MOPS and neither of the boys wanted to go. They wanted to "Stay with Mommy." So after a few of my tactics failed I decided it was a day to follow my gut. Any time I have gone against this feeling it has ended up with us all being miserable. So went with it, really went with it for the first time this morning. We went shopping instead, in the rain I might add. It was fun and they enjoyed it. The afternoon was full of playing and touch and go crankiness from all. Not a perfect day by any means but one that could have been a whole lot worse. So maybe I am getting the hang of this a little more than I thought. :)

Gotta love beanbag chairs.

Loving my yoga class. And no, there will be no pictures of that lovely sight. Maybe one day I'll have to do the yoga mat or something as my picture for the day.

My little guys didn't want to go to school this morning which made it so hard to drop them off. I always want for them to be happy and enjoy themselves and when they say no they don't want to go it breaks my heart. I truly remember as a very young child not wanting to be away from my mother/house. So this all pulls at my heartstrings even more.

Cameron has started asking you "You wanna go_____" and you just fill in the blank, wherever it may be that we are headed or he wants to go. This evening it happened to be Target and he asked each of us at the table if we "wanna go."

These little guys are starting to want to play more and more all by themselves. Which means they are growing up! And way too fast I might add. They were just so stinking cute in their little shorts today. Cameron kept putting his hand in his pocket (which he does a lot anyway) and it always makes him look like such a little man to me. He really looks like he is pondering something important in this pictures with his shovel in hand. So, so very cute!

Wow, as I typed the title I realized that we only have 100 days left of the year. So amazing how quickly it has all flown by.

The boys went to school today and then after we played and we all took a nap this afternoon. We all really, really needed it. Wonderful evening with Kindermusik and eating dinner and playing. I love these two little boys more than words can ever describe! They are such amazing, smart, funny little guys.

I love the way their little eyes light up just before they smile when they see me or their Daddy. I love the way they can be so very sweet to one another and comfort each other when the other is sad or hurt. I love their laugh, their giggles. It is like music to my soul. I love listening to their chatter or singing the songs they are making up. Hearing about their day or watching them do the newest thing they have learned. I love watching you sleep. The way Noah uses Puppy as his pillow and hates to wear his socks right now. And Cameron covers his head with his blanket. You amaze me every single day and I truly feel so very blessed to have these two amazing children in my life.

What a quick day. The boys had therapy this morning and then played with Nana and Papaw while I did some cleaning up. Cameron went to the grocery store with me and Noah stayed behind to play and nap. It was really kind of fun. I think that is the first time I have taken just one of them to the grocery store for a real shopping trip. We usually just go to pick up a few things. It was good to spend some one-on-one time with Cameron.

Mike and I went to the movies tonight and saw Time Travelers Wife. It was a good show. I haven't been to the movies in literally 3 years. I went the summer I was pregnant with the boys and they will be 3 this December. It was pretty cool to get out and go.

I missed my little guys! I must say that I completely enjoyed my trip but I was happy to get home and see my hubby and little ones. But who wouldn't love waking to such beautiful sunrises every day?

Oh my! A full day of scrapping goodness. It was a fabulous day. Good food and time to relax and scrap the entire day away. Who could ask for more?

Busy morning. Noah had OT this morning. They had fun playing with the grandparents. I headed out around 11:00 for my little get away and was a little apprehensive about leaving them. I just love them so much I don't want to miss out on the precious moments I know they are going to have. But I also know they will have a great time with Daddy, Nana and Papaw. And of course I didn't grab my camera until really late in the evening so this very funny gal who was also staying let me snap a photo of her. She is a riot!

260/365

The boys had PDO this morning and then we headed to the airport to pick up Nana and Papaw. They were thrilled to see them! Our afternoon was full of playing both inside and outside. Although I had to laugh when I went outside with them, Noah kept telling me to "go inside." Little stinker has already figured out that he can get away with so much more with Nana and Papaw than he can with Mommy. Ha!

259/365

Busy morning and then a mellow afternoon. The boys didn't nap or even have a real quiet time today so lots and lots of playing. Although I was trying to figure out how in the world we managed not to go outside and take advantage of this beautiful weather. I think it is because they insisted on staying in their new Halloween PJs the entire day! We did make some yummy cupcakes though so I guess that is what took up a lot of the early afternoon. They were such great helpers!

258/365

What an amazingly busy day. I am guessing this is what the day will feel like once the boys are old enough to actually go to school. We had PDo this morning, they cmae home and played/napped, then quick snack before off to Kindermusik and then grab dinner, play, bath, bed. Whew! It FLEW by!!! But we had a good day and that is the important part, right. Now off to bed for me!
Oh! The picture from today. I had to laugh. We were having dinner and Cameron put the box on his head and looked through the little holes and said he was wearing his "riding glasses." Oh the funny things they pick up. Earlier in the day he had watched a little part of Special Agent Oso and he made the comment his keys were under his riding gloves. So Cameron created himself some riding glasses. Oh that child is a smart one!

257/365

Nice day today. The weather was perfect and we had a fun afternoon in the back yard. They have decided the best place to "park" their cars is in the flower beds in the mulch between each bush. I know I should mind but I don't. The landscaping is what the home builder put in and I never have liked it anyway so I am okay with them playing in them. They have fun and that is all that matters to me! I'm growing boys here and the plants can be replaced!

256/365

Such a sweetie pie! Cameron decided he would get up on the "stage," aka his picnic table, and give us a concert. It was so, so cute! He has been doing this more and more and today was by far the biggest "concert" he has given us. I was lucky enough to capture it on video!

Wow, the weekend flew by as usual. Nice day. I have to say I do like going to church early and being home to make lunch and stuff. The weather was of course fabulous so we had to play outside this afternoon. No naps but it was okay. We are all finally adjusting!

255/365

The boys got to go to a car show today and this car was covered with pennies. They even had a sign that asked you to please touch the car. How funny! There were something like 32,000 pennies on it. They enjoyed the cars and daddy of course loved that he was able to show all these old cars to his boys. Ah, I see many car shows in our future...

254/365

Such a strange day full of so many emotions for me. Not only is it the anniversary of the fall of the twin towers, it is also anniversary of the day I found out that one of my brothers had committed suicide. So September 11th kind of holds a different meaning for me. Still full of sadness.
But leave it to these precious boys to make me smile. We started back to MOPS for the fall and the boys had a wonderful time while I went to the meeting. They even both napped when we got home! I couldn't believe it. Noah asked for "MOPS" all the way to dinner. Now let's just hope he keeps that enthusiasm as the weeks go by about being left without Mommy to play with.
Noah sang an entire song to me this afternoon while we were playing. And of course for the life of me I can't think of which one it was. I am sure it will come to me again. Just so sweet to see my little guys singing more and more.

253/365

Cameron after he woke from his nice nap today. He was so happy all day I was estatic! Of course Noah didn't nap at all. Oh well, at least one of them got some real rest for a change!
I went to yoga this morning and it kicked my rear. Planning to make that a regular event. I am already sore so can't imagine what tomorrow will feel like but I know it is what I need. The stretching is awesome and when I do become a little stronger I will be able to do more of the actual weight type poses where you use your body weight as resistance. Very intersting to me!

Where to even begin on today. Wow. It started off innocently enough but then spiraled out of control in the afternoon. Me in my brilliant thinking scheduled a dentist appointment for the boys at 2:00 pm since they have not been napping. Wouldn't you know it...they both said they wanted to stay in their beds instead of leave. Ugh! The appointment went okay (could have been better) but when we went to leave my car was dead. I mean DEAD. I couldn't even lock the doors back. Of course I was able to open the car and put the boys in and everything. So had to take them back out and go back into their office (which I am sure they were just thrilled over) and sit and wait for hubby to come to the rescue.

After that the boys were just exhausted. Noah ended up falling asleep on me at around 4:00ish and slept for an hour. Mean while Cameron decided since I had a sleeping brother on my lap it was his turn to go crazy. Just one of those afternoons I wanted to crawl into bed and forget happened.

But oh, there still had to be more. After their bath Cameron was walking down the stairs and Noah was walking up. They met on about the fifth or sixth step from the bottom. Do you see where this is going? Cameron just pushed Noah down the stairs. I was mortified. It all happened in slow motion for me. Thankfully, Cameron didn't push very hard and Noah almost caught his balance because he just kind of stumbled down the first few stairs and then fell over and rolled down the last three or so. I knew this would happen one day. I have been waiting for it for over a year now. Just thankful he wasn't hurt and I think it scared them both enough that they won't be doing that again any time soon. Or at least I pray so!

Now it's time for me to go to bed and sleep it off. Tomorrow is a new day.

251/365

Busy, busy day. The boys had school today so I dropped them off and then headed to join the gym! I am excited and now trying to figure out when I can go since child care is limited. Hmm...I will get there tomorrow or Thursday!

The boys did well this afternoon and Cameron had an evaluation for my concerns over the stimulation thing. She confirmed that yes, he is what they call sensory seeking. He needs constant stimulation with a good mixture of down time thrown in there. Hmm. Noah is totally the opposite which makes for very interesting days around here the last few months. But at least she had good ideas for me and we will begin OT and they will also be able to help me figure out other ways to keep him stimulated but not too stimulated. Make any sense? In other words once he passes the over-stimulated point it is not pretty and we have trouble on our hands. But if he doesn't get enough stimulation he turns into the "tasmanian devil" (he words, not mine but I thought they were very appropriate). So will be fun over the coming weeks to see how things progress. Thank goodness for OT people!

I got to go to a MNO and enjoy some time with a couple other moms. Much needed break and it was enjoyable just to sit and chat with a nice drink. I think it took me the entire night to drink one drink!

250/365

Nice day today. I was able to get several things that have been on my "to do" list finished this morning so I was thrilled. We decided to head to a mall we have never been to before around here since they had a Build A Bear and Noah's Puppy was in some major need of nose repair and restuffing. I wish I had brought the camera with me because Noah's face after puppy was all fixed up was priceless. He LOVES this thing. I snuggled him the entire way home and called him "my friend" over and over again while we were leaving the store. It was the most precious thing. I am just so very blessed to have these two little guys!

This afternoon we hung around the house and played. Cameron has some serious allergies going on but when I give him Claritin it is not a pretty sight. He turns into demon child. Kind of like Noah when he has to take steroids (which he has already had to do twice this last year for croupe), except Cameron is worse. I am so very hesitant to try Zertec but am afraid I am going to have to. Will be calling the doctor tomorrow.

Still only napping about once or twice a week. Noah really could every day so trying to figure out how to make that happen and keep Cameron somewhat quiet during this time. Just as soon as I get it figured out I am sure they will change on me!

They boys LOVE to play outside. I think Cameron would live out there if I let him. Cameron discovered he loves to jump from the top of the little play structure we have while holding your hands. I would imagine it won't be too long before he discovers it really isn't that tall and wants to do it himself. Everything is "do it self" these days from both of the boys. So very independent they are. I wonder where they get that from?

248/365

Such a sweet little face. Both of the boys had fun this afternoon playing with daddy's helmets. I am surprised they actually liked to wear them and so thankful they didn't get my difficulty with enclosed things like this. And of course their father was thrilled they wanted to wear the helmet.

247/365

I opted to go with this picture instead of the one I took when they were sprung from their "nap" or quiet time. Ha! They don't know the meaning of quiet time. Oh well, they were good little boys today so I don't care if they napped or not. ;) This is them trying to do somersaults. You can't really see Cameron back there but they were both attempting to roll over. Just so much fun in our day!

We went to the Farmer's Market this afternoon and then to dinner. They actually slept the entire way to the Farmer's Market so I know they are still needing that nap. I have become obsessed with that lately...I think I must say nap about 50 times or more a day lately. Just need to go with it and forget what we are "supposed" to be doing.

246/365

These are our little seeds we planted on Sunday afternoon. They are already sprouting! We planted some herbs for the windowsill so the boys can watch their little plants grow. We did this over the Spring with some sunflowers and they seemed to enjoy it so we are doing it again. Fun, fun. They have had fun each morning checking them so that means I'll have to document their progress!

The boys did fabulous today!!!!! They both napped and woke up in wonderful moods and we had a very nice day. Daddy came home so they are super happy and all is well with the world again this evening.

245/365

What better way to end the day than giving your son a hug good night and him saying "I love you mommy" as soon as you pick him up? Oh my, that makes everything else seem so trivial. I love these two boys more than I ever thought it possible to love two little people!
Both of the boys have become quite the "entertainers." So very cute when they do things like don little hats and pull out the microphones. They have even taken to creating a stage (the box he dumped all his toys out of so he could turn it upside down to stand on). If they happen to be outside then it is the back steps/porch they climb up to the top of and use the sprinklers as microphones. They have such awesome imaginations already!

He was so happy he finally got the orange car.
